In 2024, the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHS) presented an initiative to launch a “patient’s office,” which would allow Ukrainians to make changes to their declaration with their primary care physician and manage personal data without having to contact medical personnel or the service. This was announced by the head of the NHS, Natalia Husak.
At the stage of implementing the patient account, users will be able to fully view and manage their personal data in the ESOH, in particular, regarding declarations. Registered users will be able to view information about which doctor and in which medical institution their declaration was concluded, as well as view the declarations of their children. Patients will also have the opportunity to terminate the submitted declaration if necessary, providing a quick and simple procedure for changing personal data independently. Access to the electronic account will be implemented in the medical information system and in the Action.
On January 1, the Medical Guarantees Program for 2024 began its operation, with a budget of over 159 billion hryvnias, with 5.2 billion hryvnias allocated for reimbursement of medicines.
The Medical Guarantees Program for 2024 includes 44 service packages, including three new ones: “Treatment of infertility using assisted reproductive technologies (in vitro fertilization)”, “Treatment of adults and children using organ transplantation” and “Treatment of adults and children using hematopoietic stem cell transplantation”.
In 2024, it is also planned to expand the list of medicines in the “Affordable Medicines” program for patients with mental and behavioral disorders, with the opportunity to receive them free of charge or with a partial co-payment.
