The Halytskyi District Court of Lviv has removed from public access the decision in the case of the murder of former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy. Previously, the case materials were opened in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, but now access to some documents is restricted, media reports.
According to Ukrainske Novinky on September 30, the relevant decision was removed from the register of court decisions. Glavkom previously reported that the investigation has restricted access to the materials of the criminal proceedings - queries for the case numbers №12025140000001011 and case №461/7152/25 in the public databases №Opendatabot and the Unified State Register of Court Decisions do not yield results.
Let us recall the chronology of the case: Andriy Parubiy was killed in Lviv on August 30, 2025. The suspect detained is 52-year-old Lviv resident Mykhailo Stselnikov, who was detained the next day in the Khmelnytskyi region. During the court hearing on September 2, Stselnikov pleaded guilty and stated that the motive for the crime was, in his words, "personal revenge against the Ukrainian authorities."
Previously, published materials indicated that Soviet insignia were found in the suspect's apartment, including the "For the Capture of Budapest" badge and about 33 orders and medals of the USSR. Journalistic investigations, including Toronto Television, described the suspect as a person with pro-Russian views who justified Russia's actions and positively assessed the figure of Joseph Stalin.
Today's restriction of access to the case materials raises questions about the further course of the investigation and possible legal actions, as the public and the media do not have full information about the procedural steps of the investigation. Official comments from the court or investigative bodies on the reasons for the restriction of access have not been received or made public at the time of publication.
