an analyst for the German newspaper BILD, has been harsh on the new “Victory Plan” presented by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. On his page on the social network X (formerly Twitter), he criticized the main points of the plan, emphasizing that all key proposals have already been rejected by Western partners.
“There will be no NATO accession, there will be no permission to strike deep into Russia with Western weapons, there will be no joint air defense against Russian aircraft. And there is not even a mention of the complete liberation of the country. There are no words,” Röpke noted.
Analysis of the plan: no real changes on the battlefield
Röpke stressed that the main problem with the presented “Victory Plan” is the lack of real points that could cause a turning point on the front. In his opinion, every key proposal of the plan has already been rejected by Ukraine’s international partners, making its implementation unlikely.
“There is not a single point in the plan that could actually lead to a turning point on the battlefield,” he emphasized.
Main points of Zelensky's plan
President Zelenskyy presented the "Victory Plan" in the Verkhovna Rada. The document consists of five main points and three secret annexes. Among the main proposals:
- Immediate invitation to Ukraine to NATO.
- Continuation of military operations of the Ukrainian army on the territory of Russia.
- Deploying a “comprehensive non-nuclear strategic deterrence package” in Ukraine to protect against threats from Russia.
- A proposal for international partners on the joint protection of Ukraine's critical resources.
- Joint investment in critical security areas.
Implementation prospects and expert reaction
According to Zelensky, if this plan is followed, we can hope to end the war by the end of next year. However, criticism from experts, in particular Julian Roepke, casts doubt on the practicality of such forecasts. The analyst notes that many of the proposed points do not have the support of Western allies, which makes the implementation of the plan extremely difficult.
