The Verkhovna Rada approved Law No. 10427-1, initiated by MP Stepan Chernyavsky. 291 MPs voted for the document. The purpose of the law is to ensure the resource needs of industry, which is critically important during the military conflict and for three years after its end.
The law provides for simplification of the import and circulation of cotton varieties in Ukraine, which is necessary for the production of gunpowder. It simplifies the procedures for state registration of cotton varieties and registration of rights to them without a qualification examination. The law also simplifies the introduction into circulation of seeds of cotton varieties and their use without certification.
“I thank my colleagues for supporting the important bill No. 10427-1, which I initiated. Its adoption is very important for our country, especially in the context of the strategic need to grow this raw material, which is used to produce gunpowder. This is a significant contribution to the development of agriculture and the economic well-being of farmers who are suffering financial losses due to the war, as well as important assistance to the defense sector of Ukraine,” Stepan Chernyavsky emphasized.
