A Kremenchuk court has sentenced a man to three years in prison for evading mobilization after he was found fit for military service, the press center of the Poltava Territorial Center for Recruiting and Social Support (TCK and SP) reports.
According to the case file, in February 2024, the military medical commission of the Kremenchuk hospital declared the man fit for service. However, he contested this decision, claiming that he suffers from asthma and hypertension. In this regard, he refused to receive a summons to be sent to the training center and did not appear at the designated time at the CCC.
This became the basis for drawing up an act of refusal to receive the summons, after which the documents were transferred for criminal investigation.
At trial, the man pleaded guilty, admitting that he was afraid of going to the front lines, but this did not change the sentence — three years in prison.
The CCK press center also noted that this is not the first case in the Poltava region when individuals are given real terms for evading mobilization.
