A resident of Ternopil region, Valeriy Talaban, failed to pass the military medical examination three times, where doctors declared him unfit. He was detained by employees of the territorial recruitment centers (TCK) on Saturday, June 8, and was held at the military registration and enlistment office, even after failing the military medical examination. This was reported by his daughter, Angelika Talaban.
She explained that her father has serious health problems – he is cross-eyed, can barely move due to multiple injuries to his spine and ribs, and has suffered a stroke. In addition, he drinks large amounts of alcohol every day.
At the Ternopil Military Medical Commission, doctors almost immediately declared him unfit, but he was brought back to the Military Medical Center, where he was held, and he was declared completely fit, which surprised his daughter.
Angelica Talaban also said that after the full-scale invasion began, her father himself went to the military registration and enlistment office twice, but was denied mobilization due to alcohol problems. The man also came across a patrol near his home, but was again deemed unfit and sent home.
The situation remains unresolved, as relatives were not allowed to meet with the father and hand over necessary things to him. The man has already been taken to the Rivne training ground, but he cannot be contacted. Angelika claims that the detention of a person with significant health problems is illegal, and so far there has been no response to the complaints.![]()
