The Specialized Military Prosecutor's Office is investigating the possible embezzlement of significant sums that were allocated by the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) for the needs of the 112th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was reported by the Absolution detective agency.
According to the investigation, since 2022, officials of the Kyiv City State Administration, the municipal security department, as well as representatives of the brigade, in collusion with private companies, organized a scheme in which budget funds were appropriated by concluding contracts for the supply of goods and services for the military at inflated prices, without holding public tenders.
During 2023-2024, the military unit received 615 million hryvnias for the purchase of drones and other defense equipment. However, according to law enforcement officers, these funds were converted into cash through fictitious companies, and the profits were distributed among the participants in the criminal scheme.
During searches at the unit, investigators seized a number of commercial proposals from companies including INFLENS, ROBOTREND, OIL TRANS, UKRDOZVIL, Mineral-Plus, and PRIME TECHNOLOGY LIMITED. This indicates the possible involvement of these companies in the aforementioned scheme.
The prosecutor's office is continuing its investigation, and all the circumstances and individuals behind this large-scale financial scam are being established.
Recall that the commander of the 112th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, Vladyslav Kosenko, who led the unit in 2023, is also engaged in business. He provides real estate services, offering real estate in the Kyiv region on the website rieltor.ua.
