First Deputy Prosecutor of Volyn Oblast Albert Shapovalov declared 5.3 million hryvnias in cash, which significantly exceeds his annual salary. According to the declarations, in 2024 the official received about 1.3 million hryvnias in income, and also owns cryptocurrency worth over 136 thousand hryvnias.
Officially, Shapovalov indicated in his declaration that he worked as a department prosecutor in the Prosecutor General's Office, but since September 2025 he has held the position of First Deputy Prosecutor of the Volyn region.
The prosecutor owns an apartment in Donetsk and a rented apartment in Kyiv with an area of over 75 m2. He also uses several cars: his personal Toyota Avalon 2015, Toyota Camry 2005 (belongs to his wife), and Mazda CX-5 2012.
It should be noted that Shapovalov has been declaring significant cash savings since 2018. Since then, the amount has consistently exceeded one million hryvnias, and more than five million in cash has appeared in his declaration for seven consecutive years. This raises questions about the origin of the funds and the transparency of their use.
