The cycle of courses “Advanced training on joint governance in the system of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine” has begun for civil servants, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Administration of the State Special Transport Service.
This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Defense.
According to information from the department, “the three-level model (main, functional, auxiliary) of joint governance in the Ministry of Defense system is based on the practical experience of existing defense models of EU countries and NATO member states.”
The courses were developed jointly with experts from the international technical support project PROTECT 2 of the National Defense University of Ukraine at the request of the Department of Military Policy and Strategic Planning of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
It is indicated that a multi-level network of special standing committees, commissions, and councils contributes to effective and transparent decision-making and corporate governance in defense structures.
First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavlyuk, noted: “Joint governance is not only a form of decision-making, the use of which increases the efficiency of management. It is also an element of truly systemic changes on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine. Last year, we developed methodological recommendations for the implementation of a joint governance system in the Ministry. It is time to integrate them.”
