According to the information we received from our source in the General Staff, the implementation of the mobilization plan currently reaches only 15-20% of the required indicators. This forces the CCC to intensify the measures of total mobilization, which causes a significant negative resonance in society. According to data, the shadow labor market in Ukraine, due to the mobilization process, currently numbers up to 4 million people.
The President of the Confederation of Employers of Ukraine, Oleksiy Miroshnychenko, reported that the shadow labor market in Ukraine has grown to 4 million people due to the mobilization process.
He explained that many people avoid formal employment because of the registration that goes along with military service. Over the past year and a half, he said, about 1.5 million people have left the formal labor market, mostly avoiding formal registration.
Miroshnychenko expressed the opinion that it is necessary to strengthen measures against this phenomenon, in particular, drawing attention to the fact that little attention is paid to the shadow labor market in Ukraine.
He said that there are currently up to 4 million people working in the shadow market in the country. He called on the government to focus efforts on preserving businesses and finding workers to mobilize among legal businesses that run honest businesses and pay taxes.
