On the night of July 21, Russian forces launched a combined attack on Ivano-Frankivsk, the largest for the city since the start of the full-scale invasion, according to city mayor Ruslan Marcinkiv.
The attack took place in two stages — first by enemy kamikaze drones of the “Shahed” type, and then by a missile strike. As a result, several settlements in the Ivano-Frankivsk community suffered serious damage.
According to Marcinkiv, damage to infrastructure was recorded in three villages of the community. In at least one of them, there are civilian casualties. Information about the other two settlements is currently being clarified.
In Ivano-Frankivsk itself, large-scale fires broke out as a result of the strikes. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service extinguished the fire in a private two-story house, and other residential buildings were seriously damaged.
Garages and cars in open parking lots were destroyed or damaged in the city. The total area of the fire was about 220 sq. m. In addition, production and warehouse premises with an area of 300 sq. m. were burning. Numerous units of the State Emergency Service worked to eliminate the consequences.
It is preliminary reported that four people were injured, including one child. Their condition is being clarified. Medics are providing the necessary assistance, and local authorities promise to provide the victims with the necessary support.
