According to the State Statistics Service, the annual inflation rate in Ukraine in April 2025 was 15.1%, which is 0.5 percentage points more than in March (14.6%). In monthly terms, prices increased by 0.7%, and since the beginning of the year - by 4.3%.
The food and non-alcoholic beverages segment had the greatest impact on inflation in April, with a 1.8% increase recorded over the month. Among the products, the following prices rose the most:

Pork and fruit — by 7.9%;

Dairy products and bread — by 2.1%;

Vegetables — by 1.5%.
Prices for alcohol and tobacco increased by 1.3%, in particular, tobacco products rose by 2.2%.
At the same time, some price decline was recorded in the transport sector - by 0.3%. This is due to a drop in the cost of fuel and lubricants by 2.2%. However, motor transport services (+0.9%) and railway transport (+0.8%) became more expensive.
Earlier, the National Bank of Ukraine adjusted its forecast for annual inflation for 2025 from 8.4% to 8.7%. According to analysts' comments, the increase in consumer prices in Ukraine is primarily caused by the increase in the cost of food products and transport services.
Recall that in March 2025, inflation was 1.5% compared to 0.8% in February and 1.2% in January, which indicates a trend towards accelerating consumer price growth.
