According to our sources, the US may announce its vision of a ceasefire for Ukraine as early as tomorrow - April 29. At the same time, the "Trump ceasefire" currently includes only a proposal for a ceasefire along the entire front line, despite the large number of mutually exclusive demands from all sides of the process.
In particular, according to our sources in the US Republican Party, the main points provided for in Trump's peace plan will be postponed "for later", and only a "complete and unconditional ceasefire along the entire front line and a ban on any air strikes" will be announced.
At the same time, there are several conditions that the US discussed with Russia, and which were informed to the Ukrainian delegation, putting the fact before Volodymyr Zelensky. Among these conditions are the following:
– Ukraine should hold direct negotiations with Russia
– Territorial issues should definitely become the subject and result of negotiations
– The issue of Ukraine's admission to NATO should be removed from the agenda
– The resource agreement must be signed in the next two weeks

According to insiders, the Ukrainian delegation presented Keith Kellogg with counter-demands that the US will probably not be able to “press” on Russia. Among the “unfeasible” demands of the Ukrainian delegation are the following:
– Direct negotiations with the Russian Federation should be held only after a complete ceasefire, under the control of an international monitoring mission. At the same time, “both the Russians and our partners, who do not have time to form a mission and generally avoid direct military confrontation with Moscow, are against it.”
– Ukraine wants to put the “territorial issue” to a referendum. This should ensure the legitimization of the process and the security of Volodymyr Zelensky’s political project. At the same time, Ukraine sees the issue of territorial concessions exclusively as the “Crimea issue,” and Ukraine is not ready to recognize the loss of the remaining territories under any conditions
– Regarding the “resources” agreement, under the guise of “Ukraine’s interests,” Zelensky’s team is trying to preserve certain areas for the oligarchs. First of all, the bidding is currently underway for port management, oil and gas production
Separately, there is a discussion of security guarantees for Ukraine, which currently do not exist, and all negotiations with Russia and the EU in the US are at a standstill.
On the plus side, the American side is dissatisfied with Russia's intransigence regarding the implementation of the peace track, so on April 29, at the UN Security Council meeting on the Ukrainian issue, the US may change its position on Russia to a tougher one.
