The new head of the Holosiivska RDA was linked to Ukrbud schemes

The appointment of Sofia Dunayevska as head of the Holosiivska District State Administration has sparked a flurry of criticism among civil society activists and journalists. According to blogger Volodymyr Bondarenko, Dunayevska was directly involved in one of the most high-profile corruption cases in recent years — the Ukrbud scandal involving Oleg Tatarov, Andriy Yakusevych, Maksym Mykytas, and Kostyantyn Mayboroda.

Bondarenko claims that it was Sofia Dunayevska who participated in the procedure of "rewriting" the development company "Ukrbud Development" from the British firm "Bazert Developments LLP", which was controlled by Mykytas, to structures associated with Tatarov's people. It was because of these manipulations that the property of "Ukrbud" came under the control of people close to Bankova, which made it possible to "clean up" the traces of the deals with apartments for the National Guard.

Moreover, according to Bondarenko, Dunayevska personally influenced the slowdown of the investigation in the NABU-SAP case No. 52020000000000235 of April 7, 2020. This is the same case where the transfer of illegal benefits for changing contracts between Ukrbud and the National Guard in favor of the developer was recorded.

At the most critical moment, when NABU detectives came upon the suspects from the Office of the President, the then Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova actually saved the case from a public scandal by removing it from NABU jurisdiction and transferring it to the SBU. According to investigators, this allowed the investigation to be effectively “buried.” It was then, according to Bondarenko, that Sofia Dunayevska played a key role in slowing down the process.

Dunaivska's appointment seems even more controversial given her connections to the entourage of Andriy Portnov, the former deputy head of Yanukovych's administration, who is now unofficially considered an influential curator of some security forces and judges. According to sources, it was "Portnov's group" that lobbied for her return to government offices.
