The newly appointed head of the Transcarpathian Regional Employment Center and regional council deputy from the Servant of the People party, Edgar Tokar, has published a declaration in which he indicated significant cash reserves, several real estate properties, a fleet of six vehicles, and a series of deals worth millions. The relevant data has been published in the NACP register.
In the savings section, Tokar declared 21 thousand dollars, 17 thousand euros, and 950 thousand hryvnias in cash. Despite this, the official's official income at his place of work at the Transcarpathian Employment Center was 67 thousand hryvnias per year.
In the declaration, the politician indicated real estate in Mukachevo: two apartments with an area of 89.3 m² and 150.3 m², purchased in 2016–2017 at prices significantly lower than market prices — 48.5 thousand and 138.5 thousand hryvnias, respectively. He also declared a share of a land plot with an area of 887 m², purchased in 2017 for 69 thousand hryvnias.
His wife Alina owns a share of land in the village of Znyatsevo and an unfinished cafe, which she shares with Mykhailo Glagolych. In addition, the family rents a non-residential building with an area of 259.65 m² in Synevyrska Polyana, which belongs to the State Property Fund.
The family's fleet also turned out to be significant. In 2022, Tokar purchased a 2010 Mazda CX-9 for 216 thousand hryvnias. His wife registered a 2010 Mazda CX-7 for 108 thousand and a 2008 Fiat Punto, purchased in August for 34 thousand. The declaration also mentions a 2007 Suzuki Swift and a 2003 Renault Megan. Separately, in the notification of significant changes as of October 22, Tokar indicated the purchase of a 2017 Volkswagen Passat for 491 thousand hryvnias.
In 2023, the official's wife received 150 thousand hryvnias in rental income (LLC "Baza"), 86 thousand hryvnias in insurance payments, as well as social benefits for children and at birth.
During October, Tokar filed three reports of significant changes in his property status. On October 4, he declared the sale of real estate for 3.03 million hryvnias, on October 22, the purchase of a car, and on October 24, the sale of movable property for 390 thousand hryvnias.
Edgar Tokar is a well-known political figure in Transcarpathia, a member of the board of the NGO "ZE Komanda Zakarpattia" and "Public Movement "Power of Truth". Despite the small official salary, the declared assets indicate significant resources, the sources of which remain unexplained in the document.
