Death toll rises in Chernihiv after rocket attack

In Chernihiv, 15 people have already died after a rocket attack on a hotel, the State Emergency Service reports.

61 people were injured, including 3 children. 3 people were pulled out alive from the rubble.

Currently, two more people may be under the rubble, said the head of the OVA, Vyacheslav Chaus.

Five civilians are missing, the police added.

The clearing of the rubble is planned to be completed today. According to preliminary information, the strike was carried out by Iskander missiles.

224 residential buildings and 54 cars were damaged.

Details of the death of a policewoman have also become known. She was on sick leave. She was in a car near the scene of the impact, and a fragment hit her in the head. The girl died on the spot.

April 18 has been declared a Day of Mourning in Chernihiv, according to Acting Mayor Lomako.
