In the fifth week of the epidemic season, 110,944 cases of acute respiratory viral infections were registered in Ukraine, of which 64,997 were children. The incidence rate is 307.9 per 100,000 population, which is 36.3% less than the epidemic threshold.
According to data from the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health, compared to the previous week, the number of cases among adults decreased by 3.2%, and among children under 17 years of age - by 15.3%.
The incidence of acute respiratory viral infections, including COVID-19, remains relatively low, and the intensity of the disease in Ukraine is 307.9 cases per 100,000 population, which is 10.7% less than the previous week.
The epidemic season of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections began on September 30, during which time 587,751 people fell ill with respiratory diseases, which is only 1.6% of the total population of Ukraine. This is 15.3% less than the same period last year.
Between October 28 and November 3, two deaths were reported among individuals who tested positive for COVID-19.
