Nutritionist names foods that worsen skin condition

Some foods can negatively affect the condition of the skin and provoke the appearance of acne, rashes, and dermatological problems. This was told by nutritionist Khrystyna Zhuravlyova.

According to the expert, sugary foods cause a sharp increase in insulin and blood sugar levels. This causes inflammation and excessive sebum secretion, which creates a favorable environment for the formation of pimples and acne.

How dangerous are dairy products?

Zhuravlyova separately noted dairy products.

  • Lactose (milk sugar) feeds opportunistic flora, provoking candidiasis and other skin problems.

  • Dairy products contain insulin-like growth factor, which stimulates testosterone levels to increase. This, in turn, leads to an increase in insulin and dihydrotestosterone, a hormone that directly affects the condition of the skin and hair.

The expert advises people suffering from acne, candidiasis, atopic dermatitis, or polycystic ovary syndrome to limit or completely eliminate "milk" from their diet.

Zhuravlyova emphasized that nutrition plays a key role in skin health. The right choice of products will help avoid chronic rashes and inflammatory processes, as well as improve appearance and well-being.
