In October of this year, the Russian occupiers used 2,023 Shahed strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other unidentified types against civilian and military targets in Ukraine. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
According to the press service of the General Staff, Ukrainian defenders were able to destroy or suppress 1,185 enemy drones, while 738 units were lost in location, and another 29 UAVs left the controlled airspace of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of 2024, the enemy has launched 6,987 strike UAVs into the territory of Ukraine, in particular, enemy drones mainly targeted civilians and critical infrastructure. These data indicate the continuation of Russia's aggressive tactics aimed at destabilizing the situation in Ukraine and harming the civilian population.

In response to these attacks, Ukrainian forces continue to improve their air defense system to ensure the safety of their citizens and reduce potential casualties.
