The legendary Ukrainian band “Ocean Elzy” has delighted fans with a new emotional composition “Dvoe”. According to the band’s leader Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, this song has a special meaning for him and was born at a time when “people need more songs about the main thing.”.
The track premiered on June 9, along with the publication of the lyric video on the band's official YouTube channel. Although "Dvoe" was not included in any of the albums of "Okeanu Elzy", it, as Vakarchuk admitted, "waited its time.".
"We have a lot of songs that found their time later than they were written. Right now, "Two" really fits our mood," he commented.
"It's about connections, emotions, love, and what a person can't live without."
The song was released outside the band's recent albums - the Ukrainian-language "Toy Den" and the English-language "Lighthouse", which appeared in honor of the band's 30th anniversary in 2024.
Musically, “Dvoe” is a lyrical, yet dynamic composition that listeners are already comparing to the hits “Drug” and “Shiele.” In the comments under the video, fans share their emotions:
"Sviatoslav, as always: his songs touch the most secret corners of the soul."
"Something new for OE, but no less incredible!"
"The song gives me chills. The words sound like a prayer."
In a short time, “Two” has already managed to collect numerous positive reviews, proving that “Elzy's Ocean” still knows how to hit the heart.
