The former head of the department for urban planning, architecture and state architectural and construction control of the Lyubotyn City Council, Denys Myronenko, was sentenced for receiving unlawful benefits and entering false data into official documents.
As stated in the court verdict, Myronenko was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 369-2 (abuse of influence) and Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (official forgery).
The investigation established that in December 2024, while serving as the head of the department, Myronenko, during a personal meeting with a citizen, offered to assist in registering ownership rights to a residential building and land plot in Lyubotyn. He promised to implement the scheme for $3,700, using his official powers and connections with the state registrar.
During February 2025, the official received first $2,700, and later another $1,000. In exchange, he handed over an extract from the State Register of Property Rights, which confirmed the ownership of the house. On February 21, he also entered false data into an official response, claiming that there was a valid order to assign the house's mailing address — although in fact there was no such order.
At the trial, Denys Myronenko pleaded guilty, showed remorse, and actively cooperated with the investigation. The court also took into account the defendant's positive characteristics, lack of prior convictions, the presence of a minor child, and his health.
As a result, the court sentenced him to a fine of 161,500 hryvnias. Mironenko was also banned from holding positions in state and local government bodies for one year.
