The prediction of the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro Shmuel Kaminetsky regarding the end of the war in Ukraine did not come true. In October 2025, during a speech at the Inspira business club, Kaminetsky stated that the hostilities in Ukraine would end by January 15, 2026. However, there are no prerequisites for the cessation of hostilities on this date, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Rabin emphasized that his prediction was not based on mysticism, but rather on conversations with “influential people” in the United States and European countries. He expected that after the war, Ukraine would receive significant investment, tourist flow, and a “great future,” while Russia would supposedly become “North Korea.”.
"We gave a little more time because people will be busy on New Year's. So on January 15, we will celebrate, because the war will already be over. If the war just ends, the whole world - investors, tourists - will come here," said Kaminetsky.
Despite his optimistic forecasts, the current situation shows that hostilities in eastern Ukraine continue, and there are no signs of a quick end to the conflict.
