A trial will begin in Kyiv of a man suspected of organizing an illegal border crossing scheme for conscripts. According to law enforcement, the perpetrator valued his “services” at $10,000.
This was reported by the press service of the Metropolitan Police. The accused faces up to nine years in prison.
“The attacker offered men of draft age to enroll in a full-time program at a higher education institution in Poland in order to avoid mobilization and cross the state border of Ukraine without hindrance. The businessman estimated his service at $10,000, and according to a preliminary agreement, he was supposed to help the “client” successfully pass online exams,” the press service said.
Police detained a 24-year-old “businessman” while he was receiving a reward from a 25-year-old “apprentice.” At the moment, the investigation into the case of illegal smuggling of persons across the state border of Ukraine has been completed. The indictment has been sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
