A man was detained in Volyn who organized a scheme to illegally smuggle conscripts across the border from Ukraine to Poland. The 25-year-old resident of Kovel district was caught red-handed while receiving money from a client. This happened on January 28, as reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
According to the report, the arrest occurred while the organizer was transferring $7,000, which was provided to him by a “client” for an illegal service. As a result of the searches, law enforcement officers seized items that confirm the illegal activities of the person involved in the case.
Operatives of the internal security department of the 6th border detachment “West”, cooperating with the migration police and the SBU, discovered and documented the activities of a man who organized the smuggling of conscripts across the border. According to law enforcement officers, the organizer of the smuggling channel was charged under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for the illegal smuggling of persons across the state border.
This case became yet another proof of the active fight of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies against illegal schemes of smuggling people that pose a threat to national security and violate the law.
