MP Dmytro Chornyi reported that the current term of the Verkhovna Rada is coming to an end, and a new parliament may appear in Ukraine next year. He wrote about this on his Facebook page.
" I feel that this term of the Council is coming to an end, and we are working on, if not the last, then definitely the penultimate session. Next year, the country will probably have a new parliament. This is closely related to the issue of ending the war ," Chorny noted.
He stressed that fellow deputies should refrain from political disputes and focus on making decisions that are truly important for the state.
" The remaining time must be used qualitatively and productively. This is our last chance to act for the security and future of the country ," the People's Deputy emphasized.
Currently, elections are not being held in Ukraine due to martial law, which was imposed after Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022. The constitution prohibits holding elections during this period, so the exact timing and format of the next elections remain uncertain and directly depend on the development of the security situation.
