The Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Volyn region reminded of the procedure for recalculating pensions for pensioners who remain employed. The rules are determined by Article 42 of the Law "On Compulsory State Pension Insurance" and Resolution of the PFU Board No. 10-1.
The Fund clarified that pension recalculation is carried out for those individuals who, after the pension was assigned, continued to work and acquired at least 24 months of insurance experience. In this case, the pension amount is updated from the salary from which it was calculated, or - at the person's request - from new earnings received after the assignment or previous recalculation of the pension.
If a working pensioner does not have 24 months of insurance experience after the previous recalculation, he can renew his pension no earlier than two years after the previous appointment or recalculation.
The PFU reminded that the month of recalculation depends on the date of the application. If the application with all documents is submitted by the 15th inclusive, the recalculation is carried out from the first of this month. If after the 15th, from the first of the next month.
Also, Pension Fund employees automatically transfer pensions from April 1 each year to those who, after their appointment or the last recalculation, have worked 24 months of insurance experience or, if two years have passed, even with fewer months of experience.
At the same time, it is separately stated that the recalculation due to the increase in the subsistence minimum for working pensioners is carried out only after their dismissal.
The Pension Fund also emphasized the obligation of pensioners to report employment or dismissal, as some allowances and additional payments are assigned exclusively to non-working pensioners. For example, additional payments to those who support children under 18 years of age.
The department emphasized that the law does not provide for any deductions from a pension due to the fact that a pensioner is working.
