In Ternopil, a group of teenagers opened fire with unidentified weapons near a playground on Verbytskoho Street. Information about the incident appeared on local messenger channels on August 7.
Juvenile police determined that the shots were fired by a 14-year-old local resident. The teenager admitted that he was aiming at a can with an air gun. According to him, the weapon belongs to a friend of his age.
Law enforcement officers conducted a preventive conversation with the boy, and an administrative report was drawn up against his parents under Part 3 of Article 184 of the Code of Administrative Offenses - failure to fulfill obligations regarding the upbringing of children.
In addition, police have identified another 14-year-old teenager who was at the scene and are continuing to investigate who else may have been involved in the incident.
An investigation is currently underway, after which law enforcement officers will provide a legal assessment of the actions of all participants in the incident.
