Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said that Ukraine is showing a "short memory" in its relations with Poland regarding support in the face of Russian aggression. He also stated that Warsaw will not be drawn into a war on Ukrainian territory, despite the significant military and humanitarian assistance that Poland provides to Ukraine.
Judging by his words, Kyiv demands the West's participation in the war on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and criticizes Warsaw for insufficient assistance.
"Memory is short, because if it weren't for Polish aid in the first months of the war, there would be no military equipment or humanitarian aid... Both Ukraine and President Zelensky have short memories. I understand his emotions, I understand the situation he is in. But we can't say that Poland is not doing everything possible. Poland has done and continues to do everything possible. But there is a line that I will never cross," the minister said.
According to him, Zelensky demands "to come here, to fight here with us. This applies not only to Poland, he is speaking in a broader sense.".
But, said Kosyniak-Kamysh, "that's his role, and our role is that there are boundaries that we don't cross.".
