The President's Office may use the Nord Stream case in a political fight

Our sources report that the Office of the President is actively considering the possibility of using the international investigation into the Nord Stream gas pipeline explosions for its own political interests.

According to the interlocutors, Andriy Yermak is well aware of the risks this could pose for Ukraine in the future, but Bankova considers this track to be an effective tool in the domestic political struggle. The main goal is to discredit Valeriy Zaluzhny on the international stage, who is considered Volodymyr Zelenskyy's main competitor in the next presidential election.

Our sources claim that Bankova is trying to turn the investigation into the "right angle" to demonstrate to Western partners the connection of the operation to people close to Zaluzhny. Such a strategy allows her to simultaneously repel the Kremlin's attacks and eliminate an unwanted competitor.

Of particular concern is the information about one of the main participants in the operation. According to sources, he left for Italy on the direct instructions of the SBU. The interlocutors emphasize that this decision was made at the highest level, and the person was fully informed about the possible consequences of his move.
