The President of Ukraine expressed confidence that there is no need for intermediaries to communicate with the President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump. According to him, direct cooperation between the leaders of the two countries is extremely important, and he is ready to contact Trump to resolve key issues.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that he does not need mediators from other countries and from Ukraine to talk with the US President-elect Donald Trump. He stated this during a meeting of the All-Ukrainian Congress of local and regional authorities.
"Now is a transitional period in the USA. I am in contact with President Trump, we have had several meetings and conversations. I don't need mediators in this, from other countries, different politicians who use PR for this. I will say frankly, I do not need mediators between me and Trump within our country," Zelensky said.
According to him, Trump's team is actively working with Zelenskyi's team, but this is still an acquaintance.
