Former Minister of Social Policy Pavlo Rozenko is concerned about Ukraine's infrastructure, which has become unusable and is not ready for a long-term war . The authorities should take this into account and focus more of their efforts on this.
Currently, there are over 700 healthcare facilities across the country that were destroyed as a result of the war, notes Rozenko.
"Of course, all this leads to a deterioration in the quality of the service sector, including social and medical. Therefore, the authorities need to take this into account and develop other systems, let's say, of helping people and direct their efforts more towards this. So far, we cannot quickly restore the infrastructure, but it needs to be done. The authorities need to develop an alternative sphere of social services, the provision of social medical services at home for people," he explained.
This situation is observed in other areas as well, so in the context of large-scale destruction of infrastructure, the authorities should address this problem now. He notes that there are “cities and regions that are currently protected by more or less normal air defense,” and it would be advisable to invest in the development and restoration of infrastructure there.
According to the former minister, war is just the right time to do normal planning, normal infrastructure, and see the future of the state's development while hostilities are ongoing.
