The Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office has initiated the return to the ownership of the Muraf community of 180 hectares of land that were transferred bypassing legal procedures. The press service of the department reported this to the Zagorodna .
As the investigation established, back in 2012, the citizen received a plot of land for 25 years under a simplified procedure for creating a farm. However, he never organized his own farm, and a year later he subleased the land to a private company.
The problem is that the plot was provided under a preferential scheme - without holding land auctions. That is, the citizen was supposed to run his own farm, and not transfer the land to other persons using preferential conditions.
Due to such actions, the community lost the opportunity to effectively manage the land, and the prosecutor's office is demanding the early return of the plot to the ownership of the Muraf community through the court.
