According to the Prosecutor General's Office and the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB), under the procedural guidance of UCP prosecutors, a pre-trial investigation into a tax evasion scheme, due to which the state budget received more than 30 million hryvnias less, has been completed.
In the circumstances established by the investigation, the director of one of the enterprises did not reflect in the tax reporting the funds received from the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Donetsk Regional State Administration for the supply of gabion structures - engineering structures used to protect against rocket and artillery attacks. As a result, the budget received more than 30 million UAH less.
The pre-trial investigation has been completed; the indictment against the suspect has been sent to the Dniprovskyi District Court of Dnipropetrovsk Region. The woman's actions have been classified under Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (tax evasion in especially large amounts). The further process will determine the scope of evidence and possible sanctions.
