Prosecutor's Office Investigates Possible Illegal Enrichment of Yaremche Mayor

The Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor's Office has initiated criminal proceedings against Yaremche City Mayor Andriy Myronyak for possible illegal enrichment. Information about the case was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations on August 5, 2025.

The investigation was initiated after considering the application of Stop Corruption TV LLC. The case materials state that the mayor acquired assets whose value exceeds his legal income by more than three thousand subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons.

StopKor journalists in the investigation "Master of the Carpathians" showed the contrast between the family's official income and the neglected state of the resort town's infrastructure.

According to official data, the mayor's wife, Nadiya Myronyak, declared over UAH 20 million in income from entrepreneurial activities in 2024. The family's main enterprise — Zori Karpat LLC — is formally "dead," but journalists discovered a working woodworking production facility with equipment and stocks of lumber.

The Myronyak family owns significant land holdings: Nadiya — 11 plots in the village of Mykulychyn with a total area of 255 acres, Andriy — 8 plots of 156 acres. At local prices, this could exceed UAH 22 million.

In addition, the family has a fleet of over 20 vehicles, including cars and trucks. The mayor's daughter Vitalia became the owner of two Suzuki Jimny and a three-room apartment in the Kiev residential complex "Rusanivska Gavan". Andriy Myronyak owns two apartments in the capital with a total value of about 200 thousand dollars.

Journalists also documented alleged business activities in protected areas of the Carpathians, which is prohibited by law.

The mayor's own explanations regarding the origin of the family's wealth are contradictory: he calls part of the income "gross income" without providing documentary evidence of the expenses.

Thus, the investigation reveals a significant contrast between the mayor's official income and the real wealth of his family. For now, the word is up to law enforcement agencies.
