The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security has initiated a move to reduce the powers of the Temporary Commissions for Monitoring the Activities of Medical Institutions after the raid in Odessa. Deputy Chairman of the Committee Yegor Chernev spoke about this during a telethon, emphasizing the need to prevent similar incidents in the future.
"The situation with the clash between the employees of the Temporary Commission and doctors is a very unpleasant event that outrages the entire country," Chernev emphasized.
The politician also noted that the committee is currently considering possible options for preventing similar incidents in the future.
"One option is to transfer some of the powers of the Temporary Commissions for Control over the Activities of Medical Institutions to other government bodies, for example, by withdrawing them from the Armed Forces or the Ministry of Defense. However, this is only one of the possible ways," he emphasized.
Chernev emphasized that measures will be taken in the near future.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m. The ambulance driver, who was on his day off, arrived at the Temporary Control Commission (TCC) to update his data in accordance with the requirements of the law. However, he was denied permission to leave the military registration and enlistment office. This caused stress in the driver, his blood pressure rose, and he became unwell. He called an ambulance with a doctor and a paramedic, but they were also detained and would not be released.
It is noted that they wanted to forcibly send them to the VLK, and since the medics do not have armor, it is quite possible to mobilize them. Against this background, the medics and employees of the CCK started a fight, which the whole country saw.
