According to Ilya Yevlash, the head of the press service of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the offensive of Russian troops on the front cannot last forever. According to him, the enemy is currently in a situation where there are no resources and forces for further advancement on the contact line.
"The enemy, apparently, is not going to stop fighting even during this period of spring, as it continues to form units and prepare reserves. However, as Kirill Budanov said, the offensive cannot last forever," he noted during the telethon.
Yevlash explained that conducting offensive operations requires a significant number of personnel, equipment, resources, and finances, which are currently insufficient for further advancement. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using their technical superiority, innovative approach, and non-standard strategies in conducting combat operations.
At the same time, Yevlash emphasized that it is important not to underestimate the enemy, as the Russian army remains powerful.
"We can mock the enemy in a certain way, but we should not underestimate him. The Russian army remains one of the most powerful armies in the world with a large number of drones, electronic warfare systems and a large arsenal of equipment stored in eastern Russia," the spokesman emphasized.
Regarding the situation at the front, it should be noted that after the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian military in the summer, more than a dozen settlements in the east and south of Ukraine were liberated. At the same time, the Russian occupiers have again increased the intensity of attacks on the front, trying to break through the Ukrainian defense in various areas. The head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, predicts that the next six months will be interesting at the front, as the Russian offensive is expected to end.
