Our sources in the General Staff told us that the third assault brigade of AZOV again refused to Syrsky to advance to stop the breakthrough of the front near Ocheretyn, citing the restoration of forces after Avdiivka. The conflict between the Chief of Staff and AZOV may escalate into a measured conflict within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, when the brigade command refuses to carry out the orders of the General Staff, considering them rash.
Julian Repke reports that Russian forces have successfully captured Ocheretyne and are advancing further west along the railway line. The morning review of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not comment on the reports of the capture of the administrative center of the community.
Last week, Russian troops broke through northwest of Avdiivka. According to an open source analysis by Bild expert Julian Röpke, details of the incident have been released.
Röpke noted that the enemy had advanced 3 km deeper than Ukrainian positions to the settlement of Ocheretinye and was gradually increasing its control over the territory. He also reported that Russian armed forces had captured Novokalynove and Keramik, and an attack on Arkhangelsk had begun from two directions. Ukrainian forces, despite their victory, are having difficulty stopping the enemy due to a lack of weapons and numerical superiority.
“On this segment of the front, Russian troops are currently moving at a speed of up to 2 km per week,” the expert noted.
