On the night of August 13, Russian forces launched another attack on Ukrainian cities, targeting critical infrastructure in the city of Sumy. The Sumy Regional Military Administration (OVA) reported that the Russian occupiers launched a missile and air strike on infrastructure facilities in Sumy. The shelling damaged a power line, a gas pipeline, a local hospital building, and several cars.
All necessary services are currently working at the scene. The authorities are clarifying the consequences of this hostile attack, and measures are being taken to restore electricity and gas supplies.
Before the attack on Sumy, on the night of August 13, Russian forces launched 38 Shahed attack drones and two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles into Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force was able to destroy 30 of these drones, but some of them reached their targets, causing significant destruction.
This attack was another manifestation of Russian aggression aimed at destroying critical infrastructure and creating additional problems for the civilian population of Ukraine.
