As a result of a nighttime attack by Russian drones on the Odessa region, two civilian commercial vessels that were moored at the piers and loaded with grain were damaged.
As reported by the head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, these are vessels under the flags of Palau and Barbados.
"As a result of a nighttime enemy attack with drones, two civilian commercial vessels under the flags of Palau and Barbados, which were moored at the piers and loaded with grain, were damaged," he noted.
According to official information, two people were injured.
In addition to the ships, administrative buildings, a grain bunker, and equipment were damaged in the attacked port.
Fires broke out at the scene, which were quickly extinguished by rescuers from the State Emergency Service.
An air raid alert was declared at night in the Odessa, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, and Izmail districts of the region.
Currently, work is underway on the ground to eliminate the consequences of the impact.
" Work is ongoing at the scene to eliminate the consequences. Law enforcement agencies are recording additional war crimes committed by the Russian invaders ," Kiper added.
