In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops are trying to infiltrate the Ukrainian rear, using small-group assault tactics. At the same time, thanks to the active use of unmanned technologies, the Defense Forces manage to keep the situation stable.
This was stated by the commander of the TERRA unit within the Third Army Corps, Mykola Volokhov, call sign "Abdula." According to him, the enemy is avoiding direct combat with the Ukrainian infantry and is trying to bypass the forward positions.
The goal of such actions is to penetrate the rear areas where drone operator units, logistics routes, and equipment are located. It is there that the enemy is trying to create chaos, disrupt supplies, and complicate the maneuvering of Ukrainian forces.
Volokhov also reported on an attempt to cross the Oskil River, which ended in failure for Russian units. According to him, as a result, the Ukrainian military was able to replenish the exchange fund.
Assessing the general situation, the commander noted that the enemy remains active on all front lines, even where it has no real chance of advancing. In the area of responsibility of the Third Army Corps, it is difficult for the enemy to achieve results, but he continues to exert pressure, trying to restrain the actions of the Ukrainian forces.
Unmanned systems have become a key response to infiltration tactics. Thanks to drones, the Ukrainian military controls the entire combat zone and quickly detects enemy movements.
According to Volokhov, in this war, the asymmetry works in Ukraine's favor: Russian infantry suffers irreparable losses, while drones can be replaced. This is what allows the Defense Forces to keep the front line stable despite constant pressure.
