The day before yesterday, a serious military incident occurred in the border area of Sumy region, related to an attempted breakthrough by Russian saboteurs. This became a matter of high alarm for the Ukrainian military and local residents, who suffered from the offensive of enemy forces.
A Ukrainian military officer writes about an attempted Russian breakthrough in the Sumy region that took place the day before yesterday.
The offensive took place in the area of the villages of Chuykivka, Rozhkovichi, and Sytne.
"After a long artillery preparation and mortar fire, the DRG entered. There are many 300 of our soldiers. But the Russians were knocked out. People in Druzhba are now sitting without communication, light, or the Internet," the soldier writes.
On Tuesday, the General Staff also reported on the Russian Federation's sabotage and reconnaissance activities in the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
Let us remind you that the Russians regularly attempt to launch DRG raids in northern Ukraine, and back in May, the head of the GUR Budanov spoke about a possible breakthrough attempt in the Sumy region.
