Secretary of the Obukhiv City Council Larysa Ilienko found herself at the center of a scandal over elite property of unknown origin. According to open sources, the official purchased a significant amount of real estate in Kozyn in one day - May 30, 2023, without indicating the source of the funds in her declaration.
Among the property:

a house with an area of 493.3 sq. m worth over 13 million UAH;

land plot of 750 sq. m for over 6.3 million UAH;

land plot of 550 sq. m for 6.5 thousand UAH;
-
land plot 281 sq. m for 18 thousand UAH.
In addition, Ilyenko owns another country estate in Koncha Zaspa, purchased in September 2022 from former regionals member Anatoly Tolstoukhov, who was an advisor to Prime Minister Mykola Azarov from 2011 to 2013. The deal provided for payment only in cash - $600,000.
In 2022, the official became the owner of a luxury Mercedes-Benz GLS400 (2019), the value of which was understated in the declaration (1.4 million UAH instead of the real 2 million UAH).
It is worth noting that Ilyenko did not declare any income in 2022. In 2023, she received almost UAH 5.2 million as a gift from Men Tatyana Oleksiyevna.
In July, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption revealed large-scale violations in Ilienko's declaration. The results of the inspection showed that the official may have provided false information in the amount of more than 32 million UAH. In addition, she is suspected of illegal enrichment of another almost 13 million UAH.
A criminal case was opened under Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The total amount of discrepancies in Larisa Ilienko's declaration exceeds UAH 45 million. Despite this, Ilienko continues to hold the position of secretary of the Obukhiv City Council and has a salary of UAH 481 thousand. The official keeps all her savings in cash: USD 500 thousand and EUR 270 thousand.
