Ukrainian singer MamaRika and her son ended up in the United Arab Emirates at a time of sharp escalation of the situation in the Middle East. On the day of the Iranian missile attack, explosions were heard in two cities of the country at once - the capital Abu Dhabi and the popular tourist center of Dubai.
According to foreign media, Iranian ballistic missiles were aimed at American military facilities in the region. According to preliminary data, US bases in several Gulf countries, including the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait, could have been hit.
At that time, MamaRika was in Dubai with her son David, as well as a friend and her child. In her Instagram stories, the artist showed off her family vacation and said that she chose the Emirates as a safe destination for traveling with children.
However, the singer later reported that they heard explosions.
" When I brought the children to rest from the explosions, and they caught up with us here... We're okay, thank you for your concern, " the artist wrote.
The singer said no one in her family was injured. She also noted that this was her fourth visit to the UAE, which she previously considered one of the safest places to vacation.
The escalation in the region was the result of a joint military operation by the US and Israel against Iranian targets. Tehran announced a response to the strikes and launched missile attacks on American military infrastructure in neighboring states.
Amid the escalation, a number of countries have already tightened security measures, and the situation in the Middle East remains tense.
