The documentary "Elza's Ocean: Storm Observation" has just appeared on the network, which has already caused a wave of discussions among viewers. But despite the active attention to the project, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk continues to prove: much of his personal life has remained off-screen. A new episode of the film reveals fragments of his private life, which the musician has tried to keep away from publicity for years.
In a recent clip, viewers were shown rare moments of Vakarchuk's communication with his children. The camera captures the artist's smartphone - he is on a video call with his son Ivan and daughter Solomiya. Svyatoslav speaks calmly, gently, with the intonation that fans usually hear only at concerts in songs about love and support.

"Vanya, I love you very much. Both you and Solomiyka. As soon as dad can, dad will come to you soon. I hug you, kiss you. Be nice there, listen politely to Olya and mom. That's it, we'll see you soon," the artist says, smiling at the camera.
The episode became one of the most discussed on the Internet — not only because of the film, but also because viewers saw for the first time what Vakarchuk was like off stage and outside of his political or public roles. For many, he appeared not as the frontman of the band, but simply as a father who supports his children from a distance.
"Watching the Storm" seems to reveal much more than the history of the cult band. The film offers a closer look at a person whom Ukrainians have known for almost 30 years, but at the same time, only partially. And it is these fragments of personal communication that make the documentary not just a musical history, but a very private diary during the war.
