Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have repelled more than 50 attacks by Russian troops in the Kurakhiv direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported. In total, 173 combat clashes were recorded over the past 24 hours, as well as 69 airstrikes by the Russian military. The intensity of hostilities in this direction is evidence of the strategic importance of the area for both sides of the conflict.
According to updated information, yesterday the enemy launched one missile and 69 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, in particular, it used one missile and dropped 114 rocket launchers. In addition, it carried out over three thousand shellings, 112 of them from multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past day, the Defense Forces' aviation, missile troops, and artillery have struck six areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, one artillery piece at a firing position, and two ammunition depots of the invaders.
With the support of aviation in the Kharkiv direction, the enemy stormed the area of the settlement of Vovchansk eight times.
In the Kupyansk direction, there were 13 attacks by the invaders in a day. The defense forces repelled the enemy's assault actions near Pishchany, Zagryzovy, Petropavlivka, Zeleny Gay, Kruglyakivka, Kolisnykivka, and Lozova.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 14 times. He tried to penetrate our defenses near Hrekivka, Terni, Yampolivka, Torske and in the Serebryansk Forest. In addition, the enemy actively used aviation, deployed 30 unguided missiles and dropped 6 KAB.
In the Siversky direction, during the day the enemy carried out seven offensive actions in the areas of Ivano-Daryivka and Viyimka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders attacked once in the Predtechyny area.
In the Toretsk direction , the enemy, with the support of aviation, carried out eight attacks near Toretsk and Shcherbinivka. Most of the enemy attacks were directed at Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 23 offensive actions of the aggressor towards the settlements of Mykolaivka, Promin, Krutyi Yar, Selidove, Sukha Balka, Myrolyubivka, Sukha Yar, Krutyi Yar, and Novogrodivka.
In the Kurakhiv direction, the Defense Forces repelled 51 attacks. The occupiers most actively tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Ilyinka, Novoselidivka, Novodmytrivka, Gostre, Maksymilyanivka, Antonivka, Kostyantynivka, Kreminna Balka, and Katerynivka.
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy carried out 12 assaults on our positions in the Trudove and Maksymivka areas.
Actively involving aviation, the enemy attacked in the area of Novoandreyevka, Robotyne, and Malaya Tokmachka in the Orikhiv direction.
In the Dnieper direction, our troops repelled three enemy attacks in the areas of Kozachy Lahery, Dnipryany, and Kozatsky Island; the enemy was unsuccessful.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions , no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy from the territory of the Russian Federation is actively using artillery and aviation in the areas of Ukrainian settlements.
The operation in the Kursk region is ongoing, the General Staff added.
