The morning in temporarily occupied Crimea began with reports of active Russian air defense and explosions. According to local sources, a series of explosions accompanied by plumes of smoke were recorded in the area of the Belbek airfield, near Sevastopol.
Information about the events began to appear on social networks and local Telegram channels, in particular on the popular Crimean channel “Krymskiy veter”. Witnesses reported that the sounds of explosions were heard in the morning, and thick smoke was visible over some areas of the city.
“Smoke is rising above the naval school in Strelets Bay of Sevastopol. You can hear the launch of an air defense missile and anti-aircraft fire,” the telegram channel noted.
The Telegram channel also showed a photo of smoke with the caption: “Sevastopol, territory of the Nakhimov Black Sea Naval University after the explosions.”.
