According to our sources in Washington, the probability of a visit by an American delegation led by US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner to Kyiv after Easter is extremely low and no more than 10%.
“The American side conveyed to Ukraine information that in the event of a productive meeting in Islamabad on April 12-14, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff have identified “negotiations with Putin in Moscow” as the next stop on April 16.
After that, they are ready to discuss the negotiating track with Volodymyr Zelensky in Lviv or Warsaw. Kyiv is considered an alternative option.
"Therefore, it is not just premature to talk about resuming negotiations at this time, but impossible," the source notes.
As a reminder, earlier, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, reported in an interview with Bloomberg that a US delegation led by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner may visit Kyiv shortly after Orthodox Easter.
At the same time, Bloomberg news agency, citing its own sources notes that a trip by Witkoff and Kushner to Ukraine is indeed being discussed, but has not yet been confirmed.
