The State Service for Food and Consumer Protection notes that the agency receives a significant number of complaints from consumers regarding the quality of red caviar. Most often, citizens draw attention to problems with the safety of the product, its quality, or the lack of proper labeling.
The agency notes that increasingly, food products, including red caviar, are purchased through social networks, sharing platforms, and bulletin boards. At the same time, such sites are often used by individuals who are not registered as business entities, which limits the possibilities of state control. In such cases, the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection cannot apply measures of influence in case of violations of product quality or labeling requirements.
To avoid health risks, consumers are advised to check the seller's information before purchasing. The online store page must indicate the full name of the legal entity or the full name of the individual entrepreneur, location, and identification code or taxpayer registration number in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Electronic Commerce".
It is also important to pay attention to the packaging and labeling of the products - they must contain all the required details and be clear and readable. No less important is compliance with storage conditions: caviar must be stored at the recommended temperature, without exposure to heat or direct sunlight.
The State Food and Consumer Protection Service emphasizes that following these tips will help consumers choose a high-quality and safe product and avoid health risks.
