Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandr Syrsky and Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov visited advanced command posts of the military at the front to assess the situation and discuss further steps in ensuring the country's security.
As RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to the Telegram channel of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the visit, representatives of the military leadership heard reports from the commanders of the groups of troops on the situation in the areas of responsibility. Syrsky stressed that the situation is difficult in many areas and requires constant control, as the enemy is trying to carry out regular assaults on the positions of the Ukrainian troops.
According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine , a thorough analysis of the situation was conducted together with the commanders and steps for the future were discussed, in particular, regarding the potential of maneuverable and positional defense, as well as the reinforcement of individual areas.
Syrsky also emphasized the importance of coordination and proper operational interaction of all Defense Forces to preserve the lives of servicemen.
During the meeting with the commanders of brigades and individual battalions, non-systemic problems were analyzed, and decisions were made to improve combat readiness, stability, and management. Despite the difficult situation, Ukrainian soldiers are courageously holding their lines and positions, inflicting irreparable losses on the enemy.
As of February 20, according to Deep State, Russian invaders, after capturing the city of Avdiivka in Donetsk region, advanced westward and came close to the village of Lastochkine. This indicates the continuation of active hostilities in eastern Ukraine and the need to strengthen defensive measures at the front.
