Former Ukrainian national team forward Milevskyi didn't check his schedule and got stuck in the elevator due to a power outage

Former Dynamo and Ukraine national team striker Artem Milevskyi got stuck in an elevator due to a power outage. The footballer himself spoke about the incident in his Instagram stories.

According to him, he did not check the outage schedule and calmly took the elevator - but during the movement, the building lost power and the cabin stopped between floors.

Everything was fine in the morning. Light all day long… I didn’t look, the elevator went up – it got stuck, sit and wait. Who to wait for? ” — Milevsky emotionally described the situation, not choosing censorious words.

The footballer spent some time in the elevator until help arrived. According to Milevsky, he was eventually freed by an elevator operator named Vadim.

" Rescue. Good, even though the lights weren't turned on ," the former Dynamo player joked, meaning that he was pulled out manually, without restoring the electricity.

The story quickly spread in sports media and fan communities, because 40-year-old Milevsky (the former Dynamo star was often credited with the image of a football dandy off the field) showed himself in a fairly ordinary and, honestly, very recognizable situation for Ukrainians of power outages.

Artem Milevskyi ended his professional career in 2021. He played 276 matches for Dynamo, scoring 87 goals and providing 74 assists. He also played for clubs from Belarus, Croatia, Russia, Romania, Hungary and Turkey. He played 50+ matches for the Ukrainian national team and participated in Euro 2012, where the team played the home tournament.

The elevator situation seems to have become another reminder: during planned and emergency power outages, it's better to take the stairs, even if you're a Dynamo legend
